House Of Q Five Star Competition BBQ Sauce - 375 ml

All of the BBQ sauces at House of Q are developed first for our competition BBQ team.  We use them to finish ribs, chicken or pork before we send them our entry to the judges.  Since 2016 Five Star Competition BBQ Sauce has been made, tested at competitions, tweaked and adjusted meanwhile winning awards.  It’s working very well for competitive BBQ and it’s time to share it with grillers everywhere!

How did this sauce get named?

Well, BBQ Brian’s grandfather was a Saskatchewan farmer who liked rye whiskey.  His favorite seemed to be a brand that had a plastic star stuck on the bottle that often was picked off by Brian and his sister.  They would play with the stars as kids pretending to be sheriff’s or who knows what.  The “five star” seemed to be an appropriate symbol for this high quality, award-winning BBQ sauce and a special memory from BBQ Brian’s childhood.

Description

Five Star Competition BBQ Sauce is a really cool balance of flavor… it is tangy and sweet with an awesome texture and it finishes with just a touch, a hint if you will, of heat.  It is very well balanced.

Common Applications

Perfect for glazing grilled chicken, pork or beef.  It is an awesome compliment on anything grilled.

Other Uses

Simmered in sautéed onions or used in hand-made burgers or meatloaf.

Sugars (brown sugar, sugar, blackstrap molasses), Apple cider vinegar, Tomato paste, White vinegar, Worcestershire sauce (distilled vinegar, molasses, corn syrup, water, salt, caramel, colour, garlic, sugar, spices, anchovies, tamarind, natural flavour), Lemon juice, Salt, Paprika, Onion, Garlic, Black Pepper, Chili Powder, Liquid Smoke, Spices (contains mustard).
